How do you make a marshmallow?

We use a sugar syrup whipped into gelatin to create a marshmallow. Simple yet challenging.

What kind of gelatin do you use?

We use all beef gelatin. We are working on a vegan option.

Do you use Mallow Root?

Not at this time it is not cost effective and because of the medicinal properties of mallow root it would be wasteful to use in making “candy” marshmallows. We will, however, be launching a medicinal line in 2027 using organic mallow root.

Are your marshmallows Dairy-Free?

Yes, our marshmallows are naturally Dairy-Free, with the exception of Thai Tea, Eggnog and Dulce de Leche.

Are your marshmallows Gluten-Free?

Yes, our marshmallows are naturally Gluten Free.

Are your marshmallows Halal?

No, they are not Halal, however, we do use 100% beef gelatin.

Are your marshmallows corn-free?

We do not use corn-syrup or high fructose corn-syrup, but, the powdered sugar we use to dust our marshmallows does come with cornstarch. However, you can request a corn-free dusting powder upon Checkout.

Do you use food coloring?

We generally don’t like to use food coloring but occasionally we do. We use a wide variety of things to color our marshmallows, from flowers to root powders to synthetic colors. You can always ask us about specific flavors.

Do you use preservatives?

No, we do not use preservatives.

Do you have vegan marshmallows?

Not yet. We’ve come close a couple of time but we are limited by our food license. We continue to experiment on making a vegan marshmallow that does not require refrigeration.

Do you have a sugar-free marshmallow?

No, but it is on our “To Do” list. It is one of our goals to make a “Sugarless” marshmallow.

How many pieces in a 3oz bag?

It depends. All our marshmallows are hand cut and different marshmallow flavors have different densities. So our 3 ounce bags have between 10 and 14 pieces.

How long do your marshmallows last?

Our marshmallows can last up to three weeks in their sealed pouch. Because we don’t use preservatives, they may crystallize, but they are still deliciously edible. Refrigerating our marshmallows will add three months. Freezing them will add six months to their longevity.

Do marshmallows lose their flavor when dehydrated?

Slightly. However, if we notice a significant drop, we won’t dehydrate that flavor. For example, our Hot Cinnamon is fabulous when fresh, but its flavor diminishes when dehydrating, hence we will never dehydrate Hot Cinnamon.

Can I request a custom flavor?

Yes, you can suggest a flavor, and we will try to make it.

Can I request a flavor that is Out of Stock?

Usually not. We a use great many natural ingredients to flavor our marshmallows. It’s difficult to source a flavor that is Out-of-Season. With that being said, with enough notice, we should be able to source enough product for a future event; i.e. booking in the spring for a fall wedding that wants rose or mango marshmallows.

If you add water to your dehydrated marshmallows, will they get bigger?

Unfortunately, not. That would be so much fun if they did! They just dissolve in your drink adding flavor.

Why do you recommend a specific chocolate brand to use with your marshmallows?

We have learned that not all chocolate is created equal. Our marshmallows are made with very high quality, organic ingredients. Our recommendations of certain chocolates are made to enhance the flavor of our marshmallows and elevate your taste experience.

Do you have a shop or storefront?

This is such a loaded question for us. We usually say “We’re working on it.” Between you and me, we vacillate between changing from a Colorado Food Act business to obtaining a commercial food license and opening a small shop. We’d love to expand yet we are acutely aware of Justine’s age and our desire for her to experience teenagerhood and all that that brings with it. We feel she will have the rest of her life to work and create but for now we want her to be kid. How long does it take from ordering marshmallows to receiving them?

Every item is made fresh to order. It takes up to four (4) days for you to receive your order. We do not ship on weekends.

What is your Return Policy?

We are unable to accept Returns for food items. However, if you are unsatisfied or there is a problem with your order, please reach out and we will do our best to make it right.

How do I order for an upcoming party or event?

Reach out to us so we can work out the details of what you need and when you need it. We will create a custom invoice for you.

So where is your daughter?

Because we are always talking about Justine, her business, her process and, and, and, we get this question a lot! She is a busy kid! She is either doing homework, volunteer work, at one of her athletic practices, if not at another show.

How do you eat them?

This question always fascinates us. Melt them (in a hot beverage. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate). Feast on them. Roast them. S’more them. Share them. Enjoy them!
